Quality Assurance Specialist
We are seeking a self-motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to assist with planning and management
of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.The Quality Assurance Specialist will also insure
that all products manufactured by Vista Photonics meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels
through internal audits and by preparing for, and managing, external audits. This is a hands on position that will require other duties
as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.) with 3 - 5 years of technical experience in a related discipline (e.g. Quality Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test), or a combination of education and experience.
Experience with executing test planning, hardware and non-conformance processing.
Experience with, and worked within, an AS9100 approved Quality Management System.
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices and procedures, including AS 9100 and ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
Ability to have effective and persuasuve discussions with vendor or customers on supplier quality and other complex topics.
Ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
Experience in establishing performance metrics for identifying process improvement.
Ability to develop performance metrics and take appropriate actions.
Willingness to work in a team oriented environment.
