Las Cruces, NM, January 1, 2015: Vista Photonics, a scientific research and development company that focuses on laser based trace gas sensors, is pleased to announce that the company has relocated its research facility to Las Cruces, NM.

According to Company President, Dr. Jeffrey S. Pilgrim, "The Las Cruces facility will allow Vista Photonics more opportunities to continue designing and building the best optical based gas detectors and monitors. The new location offers more commercialization opportunities, as well as the chance to develop new educational partnerships."

Vista Photonics has developed world-class laser sensing techniques and incorporates them into commercial instrumentation for high-performance optical detection technologies. The Company develops technologies in markets where it can offer a clear competitive advantage and through strategic partnerships with established instrumentation manufacturers. The research staff has extensive experience in the development of optical trace gas detection instrumentation. The Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR) program has provided numerous opportunities for Vista Photonics to partner with government agencies to grow its research and manufacturing business. In addition to NASA, customers include the Department of Energy, USDA, and the Department of Defense (Navy). Currently, Vista Photonics has a functioning prototype sensor onboard the International Space Station that was developed in part through work done within the SBIR program.
